TKAM Movie reflection 2

The end of the movie we watched today was very accurate to the book. Jem and Scout got attacked by Bob Ewell. Arthur "Boo" Radely saved them. Some of the many other changes from the book throughout the movie were necessary or did not make a difference to the telling of the story. However for this portion of the movie no change was needed or necessary. The scene was almost perfect. The only part I did not like that was removed was when Boo spoke. When he speaks it shows how he is still a child on the inside and is someone broken. Robert Duvall did a good job having a child like attitude and pose without words, but in my opinion hearing him ask to be walked home shows he is a child who is scared.

  1. I think watching Boo getting walked home by Scout is the sweetest moment in the entire movie- and I think they show it in just the right way- from a distance, quietly, and slowly. So good.
